For the 2nd year in a row, our church has held a dance, Mormon Prom, as an wholesome alternative to regular high school proms. Bryant was excited to be able to go again. He thoughtfully planned a way to ask his friend, Chandler, to go with him and she said yes!
We quickly learned how much goes into a boy when it comes to prom. Lots of shopping had to be done - finding a suit, shoes, and matching accessories (it's stressful trying to match the dress perfectly! There are so many shades of pink!). With all the shopping, we forgot to order a corsage in time, so I learned how to make one - it was super fun! I also ended up making Bryant's boutonniere at the last minute - it turned out pretty cute!
To add more stress to the evening, Chandler had a CIF track event in Orange County at 3:00pm. She had to rush home and get ready in a hurry so that they could meet their friends for pictures. (They didn't end up having time to even eat dinner). It was cute watching Bryant open the car door like a perfect gentleman :)
They met up with their friends just in time for a few quick pictures before they headed off to the dance. They had a great evening. We are truly blessed to have great youth in our area - and great leaders who make evenings like this possible.
