Family day at Disneyland

Ever since we bought our Disneyland passes, we had planned to go for a day during our Thanksgiving break from school. When we learned that my parents were going to be visiting us during that week, I was a bit worried that they wouldn't want to go, but how wrong I was! My mom and dad were totally excited to join us! We had an amazing day going between California Adventure and Disneyland in beautiful southern California weather.

Our first stop was in California Adventure where we rode Soaring Over California and then the kids took their Grandpa Jim on The Tower of Terror. We all saw the show in Bug's Land, went through the tortilla and sourdough factories, and then most of us went on California Screamin'. We rounded out our visit to California Adventure with the Roaring Rapids ride where we all got pretty wet.

After a lunch at McDonalds, we headed into Disneyland where it is so beautifully decorated for the holidays! We made sure to go on all the rides my parents wanted to do: Indiana Jones, The Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Mountain Railroad, and my mom's favorite, Splash Mountain. We also went to The Enchanted Tiki Room and watched the Christmas parade. It was extremely crowded at Disneyland, but we were able to manage the rides without much stress and just soak up the atmosphere.

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are some highlights from our day:

Mom had lots of fun with the kids (Dad wasn't feeling too great, but he had fun, too)

We had front row seats to watch the parade (my job is to wait and save the seats while everyone gets in an extra ride or two).

The best part of the evening was when it "snowed" on Main Street. The snow, along with the music being played, was the most magical moment I've ever experienced at Disneyland!
