From the beginning of Erin's formal education, she has been focused on her future......one that she hoped would include BYU. After all the studying and hard work, Wednesday night she finally received the news she'd been waiting for - acceptance to BYU!! We are all so proud of her and know that she will be an amazing BYU student - GO COUGARS!!!
Erin found out about her acceptance while she was on the phone with her Dad. She was soooo excited that she shrieked and then jumped up and down. She was so overcome that she was actually speechless and had tears in her eyes (and where was I with the video camera.....oops, I didn't even think about it until a few minutes later - too late).
Right after finding out the good news, Erin called her grandparents, family, and close friends. You can see the joy on her face!
It wasn't until Saturday afternoon that we were finally all together to celebrate. We surprised Erin after work with BYU decorations and cookies along with a few presents.
More BYU gear!
Grandma Sharrid made Erin a cookbook with recipes used in our family. There are even recipes from her great-great Grandmother. Since Erin is hoping to live in a cooking dorm, she'll be able to put this book to good use next year.
While we're sad to think of Erin leaving our home, we're so excited for the future that's ahead of her! Congratulations Erin!
