After living in southern California for 15 years, I thought it was about time my kids were introduced to surfing. Some friends of ours are avid surfers and offered to teach my boys the basics. We ended up having to go without Bryant who is away in Yosemite, so he'll have some catching up to do when he gets home. Parker was a little hesitant to look bad in front of girls, but he ended up getting up on the board on just his second try - he's a natural! Parker, Erin, and Megan spent HOURS in the water before we told them we had to go home. Now Parker can't wait to get his own board and go back for some more!

Parker got a nasty sunburn while he was at the beach last week - can you tell that he put on his sunscreen all by himself??
