Our last day in Utah

The snow continued for our last day in Utah. We woke up to at least 5 new inches since the night before. We had to get off to an early start so that we could get all the rest of our wish list activities done before heading home.
After picking Erin up from her friend's house, we went to our family's favorite restaurant, Tucanos, for lunch.

Once we were sufficiently stuffed, we headed up the hill to find a good spot to go sledding. We ended up at Rock Canyon Park which is just above the Provo Temple.

As we got to the park, we could tell that many other families had our same great idea. I seriously questioned whether or not it was too crowded to go sledding there. It ended up being PERFECT. The park is so big that hundreds of people can all be sledding at the same time and we never ended up having to wait for other people to go down the hill.

The sledding conditions couldn't have been better! There was plenty of fresh, powdery snow and the temperature was in the low 30's. We wish we could go sledding more often!

This is what happens when you hit an unexpected bump down the hill. OUCH!

Parker needed a potty break, so Rick hooked him up with the perfect spot! You can't even see him once the "door" is closed.

Erin threw one too many snowballs on Rick, so he decided to get her back....with a little help from Parker.
Bryant got a kick out of seeing Erin covered in snow. He only wished he had been able to help with the attack.

That evening, Erin and I went to visit an author, Allyson Condie, in Sue and Jerry's ward. Erin and I had both read her books (The Yearbook series) and were excited to hear that she would love to meet us. Allyson welcomed us into her home and shared with us how she got started writing and what she's working on now. It was great to hear how the whole process works. We think she's going to be a huge success and can't wait to get her next book!

Utah - Day 3

Today we woke up to SNOW!!! The kids were so excited that they were out playing in it and throwing snowballs long before I was ready for the day. We were shocked that Coco even loved playing in the snow! The bonus that came with the snow, was warmer temperatures. It had been too cold to snow the previous days

After a fun filled snowy morning, we took Erin to her friends so that she could go with their youth on a temple trip/Welfare Square/Classic Skate activity. The rest of our family went to see our friends, the Daniels, at their baseball training facility.
Bryant and Parker were a bit shy with their old friends at first, but within a few minutes, they were playing catch and then they became glued to the Daniel boys new i touches.

Devin and Parker have been friends since they could crawl....they have lots of fun when they're together.
