The lights on Temple Square

The morning after Christmas, we loaded up our van, picked up Dee, and headed to Utah. The kids were so excited to be going during the holidays since they knew it would snow during our visit. The only bummer was that with snow, you also have COLD temperatures! We're a bit wimpy when it comes to anything below 50.

The day after our arrival, we decided to go see the Christmas lights on Temple Square (we discovered that half the state of Utah also had the same idea). It was a record low temperature, but we were still able to enjoy walking around, we just didn't stay as long as we would have liked. The lights were incredible and there were many different nativity scenes throughout the property. The best was the live nativity that Rick and Jerry watched, but the kids were too frozen to stand outside to watch. I hope they can grow an appreciation for the cold if they plan to go to school in the frozen tundra!
