It's Knott's Berry Farm time again!

On Sunday I found out that the Law Enforcement special that Knott's Berry Farm does every year, started last weekend. That was such great news since my kids are out of school all week. So today Rick took the day off of work, we invited Nathan and Emmett Rock along, we prayed for good weather, and set off for Buena Park.

It was raining when we left, but we figured it couldn't be too bad, so with umbrellas in tow, we were willing to take whatever weather we got. Lucky for us, the rain stopped a few miles up the freeway and didn't start again until just after we left the park. It was even a bit hot for the light sweater I had on.

We had an amazing time all day long. From the new rides Parker tried for the first time (The Silver Bullet and La Revolution) to our traditional food (the train McDonald's down the road for lunch, followed by a few chicken legs from Knotts, and Fuddrucker's for dinner) - everything was great! Parker has conquered his fears of the scary roller coasters this year. When we were in line for The Silver Bullet, he was shaking. As soon as the ride took off, he screamed "This is awesome" over and over until the ride was finished.

When I think of things that I'm grateful for, I count experiences like today - a perfect day spent with a wonderful family and friends.

Rick and the kids waiting to get on the Accelerator - everyone's favorite ride!

Erin waiting for the boys to finish their bumper cars ride - obviously not her thing!

Only the kids were crazy enough to go on the rapids when it's only 75 degrees outside.
They were soaked during the ride.
