Back to school too soon

This morning was a bittersweet day in the Chase household. It marked the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. This year we have a junior (wow....where did the time go), an 8th grader, and a 5th grader. We're hoping for a smooth year, especially once Erin gets her driver's license next week, which will mean less of mom's taxi service!

This is how the school year began:

Erin left for high school at 6:45a.m.

Bryant left for middle school at 7:30a.m.

We always find his handprint that he did when he was in Kindergarten.....he's gotten so much bigger.

Before school, we got to meet his teacher, Mr. Campbell. We already know that he's a great teacher, so we're really looking forward to this year!

With the kids all gone, I headed off to a traditional first day of school breakfast with some friends followed by LOTS of cleaning and laundry.........oh the life of a mom. I miss my kids already!
