My goal each summer is to go to the beach once a week. Since we had some hiccups in our early summer plans, we made up for it the last 2 weeks of summer by going twice a week! This year we were lucky to be able to meet at the beach with Bobby and Kelly's family most of the time. Rick even made a few beach trips with us, even though he wasn't able to get out and go boogie boarding. The boys' necessities at the beach.....electronics
Bryant and Brandon spent most of their time together walking up and down the beach and pier or napping under the sun - what a waste! They should be out in the water!
Shannon learned how to boogie board and became just another fish in the ocean.
Parker and Elizabeth were attached at the hip. They hardly came out of the water.

Rick used his feet to smooth out the sand as the boys tried to build pyramids.
One day we parked a bit too close to the water and had to build a retaining wall........it worked for a while. A huge wave finally knocked it down.

On the last day of summer vacation, we took a couple of friends with us and met Bobby and his kids for one last hurrah.
