Parker's 11th birthday

We packed as much as possible into Parker's birthday. The day started with a french toast breakfast.

After breakfast, we rushed Parker to school where we got to stay for a 2 hour long 5th grade awards ceremony (separate post) where Parker received 5 awards. Not expecting to be at the school that long, Rick and I rushed home to get everything ready for Parker's birthday party. We barely finished in time to pick Parker up from school and rush up to the pool.

Parker invited 10 of his best friends for a swimming party. The boys had so much fun eating, swimming, playing basketball, and playing at the park. No one wanted to leave, so the party lasted an hour and a half longer than planned.

I saw these fun cupcakes in a magazine and just had to make them for the party.

Parker scored in the gift department. He's loaded up with cash and Target gift cards and can't wait to go shopping!

Once we finally left the party, we rushed home to change and get ready for dinner at Sweet Lumpy's. Parker especially likes going there for the ribs.

John, the owner, snuck up behind Parker and surprised him with apple pie ala mode

To top off the day, we headed home to have chocolate trifle with some good friends.
It was an exhausting but REALLY fun day!
