Parker's last week of elementary school

Normally, I'd be sad to see Parker leaving elementary school, but after having 2 kids go through the middle school, I know it's going to be great for Parker! There were no tears, just excitement through all the end-of-the-year activities.

The 5th graders had an all day barbecue at the park. The each got a t-shirt for their friends to sign and there were tons of games to play. Parker spent most of his time with his best school friend, Bradley.

Parker loved his teacher, Mr. Campbell.....

...but his favorite teacher is Mr. Morel (Bryant's 5th grade teacher). Luckily, Parker got to have Mr. Morel for math and reading.

At the awards ceremony, Parker received the following awards:

• 3rd trimester honor roll
• Principal's honor roll (for making honor roll all year)
• President's honor roll (signed by Barack Obama for making honor roll all of elementary school)
• Best Mathematician (voted on by his class)
• Original Owl (for being the at the school since it's opening day)

At the end of school on the last day, they have a "clap-out" where everyone lines up and claps as the outgoing 5th graders leave the school for the last time.

We surprised Parker by bringing Emmett to the clap-out. Let the summer begin!
