Crater Lake National Park

We had one day in between our camping trips so we decided to visit Crate Lake National Park. After staying in a not-so-nice hotel, we headed to the park. As we were gaining altitude, we started seeing snow, then more and more snow. We had no idea that it would feel like we were visiting the north pole! Even with all the snow (and wearing shorts and flip flops) we really enjoyed our visit.

We couldn't see across the lake because the clouds were so low and thick - but I didn't mind - it was breath taking.

At the Visitor's Center, we got hot chocolate to warm up our insides. Then we stepped outside to get a few more pictures.

The snowfall at Crater Lake was the most since 1988. I wonder if it will all melt this summer....
