Erin's room makeover

Erin has been sick of her pink bedroom and anxious for some brighter colors. So as one of her personal progress projects, she wanted to redo her room. Rick and I went out and found some furniture and Erin and I spent hours browsing the web looking at bedding. Finally we were able to put things together and we have a mostly finished project.

It was nice to have Erin work so hard each step of the way, from the organizing to the painting and cleaning. It's amazing how quickly dust collects behind furniture! I think we could have put bookshelves on one whole wall in Erin's room and easily filled them. She loves to read!! Like mother, like daughter!

Getting rid of the pink - ew!Sanding the nail holes (I was glad to have Erin be willing to do some of the grunt work, that left less for me!!).

I think nail guns are lots of fun, but I think Rick feels the same way, so he did all the nailing.
The mostly finished bedroom. We still need accessories to make it all come together, but Erin is enjoying her room already. I hope Erin knows how much we love her and enjoyed working on this project together.
